Developmental Editing
I delve into your manuscript or short story and ensure it flows well, that the through line carries through, and that the story arc is strong and compelling. Even nonfiction needs a compelling story arc.
This is a heavier type of edit.
Rate ~ $0.06 CAD per word ($3000 CAD for a 50K-word manuscript)

Line Editing
I take a very thorough look through your work, clean up, and reshape it sentence by sentence, looking at things such as syntax, paragraph breaks, how ideas flow, and how to make concepts come out more clearly.
Also a heavier type of edit.
Rate ~ $0.07 CAD per word ($3500 CAD for a 50K-word manuscript)

Copy Editing
This kind of edit is for written works that are needing less heavy of an edit but still need assistance with catching errors in sentence structure, grammar, spelling, paragraph breaks and so forth.
A moderately heavy type of edit.
Rate ~ $0.055 CAD per word ($2750 CAD for a 50K-word manuscript)

Proofreading
This is the last stage of editing. This is for works of writing that just need the final cleanup, catching typos, stacks, orphans and widows, and other minor errors.
A lighter edit.
Rate ~ $0.020 CAD per word ($1000 CAD for a 50K-word manuscript)
